Honest or Rude?

In my opinion, honesty is one of the best qualities person can have. I'd rather take the harsh truth, than a sugar coated lie. I would rather my friend tell me that top just doesn't look good on me and I should wear another one, instead of telling me it is good even she think it totally isn't.

But sometimes people believe honesty gives them right to say rude things to people. It is a thin line between being honest and being rude. For example, if I asked you to tell me whether my post is good enough, if you are honest, you should tell me 'it is ok, but this or that you did not say right, I would have said that differently' etc. I do not want you telling me simply 'this post is lame', without any further explanation. I know some of you may mean good, but telling people their outfit, make up, suite isn't good, it may have an opposite effect. People won't appreciate your opinion as valid if you just say bad things, without elaborating. They will just assume you are being hater for no particular reason.

Of course I love reading positive comments, on my blog, outfits, etc. And even I am not really happy when I receive negative comment in a form of constructive criticism, I will take your advice and try incorporating it in future. But if you only come to say my post is lame, and you prefer other types of posts, you will accomplish nothing. Because I will only focus on positive comments, and one bad comment won't ruin my day and make me quit blogging or playing on Stardoll.
