She lives on a deserted island with her scientist father (Gerard Butler) and a loyal band of animal friends Her life on this magical island mirrors the amazing exploits of her favorite literary character, Alex Rover - the world's greatest adventurer. When Nim's father goes missing from their island, a twist of fate brings her together with her favourite writer Alexandra – author of the Alex Rover books. Now the two of them must draw courage from their fictional hero, Alex Rover, and find strength in one another to conquer the mystery of Nim's Island.
