It’s no secret that Emma Watson is the world’s most sought-after nerd. After her portrayal as Harry Potter‘s Hermione Granger, the bushy-headed, bright-eyed book worm, Watson was launched into a life of fame. And while HP was her baseboard for a fabulous career, she’s made a name for herself outside the series. Slinking away from the geeky girl she played onscreen, Watson slowly began to explore the magical world of fashion. Audiences found themselves anticipating Potter premieres solely to examine her newest sartorial ventures. When she announced her plans to be the face of Burberry in 2009, we were none too surprised. So now we pay homage to beautifully blossomed starlet with the first-rate ensembles she’s so elegantly worn over the years.

    Who: Blake Lively
What: BAFTA Brits To Watch event held at Belasco Theatre in L.A. on July 9
Wear: Marchesa dress, Lorraine Shwartz jewels, and Christian Louboutin heels

Blake Lively joined the Duke and Duchess at the BAFTA Brits to Watch charity event in LA this weekend wearing this one-shouldered Marchesa gown from the spring 2011 collection. The muted grey color did wonders for her bronzed glow, which—when taken together with the dress’ delicate embroidery and subtly sheer chiffon fabric—made it a radiant look on the elegant red carpet. Lively, who typically opts for more form-fitting looks (and has every reason to flaunt her fab figure), covered up for a change and completed her look with Lorraine Shwartz jewels and Christian Louboutin heels. Her loose wind-swept up do added to the easy elegance of the whole package.

Left to right, Cy Twombly's Leda and the Swan & Revlon's fall Expressionists collection. Forget obscure French new wave films or epic journeys through the Middle East—for fall, Revlon’s Global Artistic Director, Gucci Westman, was simply inspired by art.  Specifically, the expressionist exhibit on at MOMA this summer. To better explain, Westman invited a group of editors to walk through the exhibit. ”I was inspired by Abstract Expressionism when the artists, particularly the New York artists, evolved from black and white pieces and began experimenting with color,” she said, breezing past Franz Kline’s classics, Arman’s I Still Use Brushes, and her favorite Twomblys like Leda and the Swan.  “I came to MOMA to be inspired every day for a week,” she said.  “I took in different pieces, moods, at different times of day. I loved the artists’ use of color, textures and compositions.” As a result, you won’t find your basic fall browns.  Instead, Westman blends gossamer hues in sheer, glittering textures into those deep, traditional autumn colors.   Westman pointed out that her use of sparkles in varying sizes and textures was directly influenced by the artists. For example, Westman combined four beautiful glosses and a lipstick, including a deep wine shade into a limited edition palette called “Bordeaux in the Snow,” a shout-out to Revlon’s iconic “Cherries in the Snow” lipstick. Contrastingly, the collection includes a ‘60s-inspired super-light creamy pink and beige hybrid that we swear must be the exact shade Lisa Houseman was shouting for in Dirty Dancing: “Where is my beige. Iridescent. Lipstick.” Four nail polishes round out the collection: three uber-sparkly sheers in light pink, bright blue and fuchsia tempered by one neutral warm greige shade that’s “inspired by Cy Twombly’s creamy shades,” Westman said. “How he sees people, it’s such an innocence.” Expressionists By Gucci Westman for Revlon will hit stores in October.

Every once in a while a fashion person pops up in People (as opposed to Hollywood folk, who always pop up in fashion magazines) and suddenly turns from a cult favorite into a full fledged starlet. If anyone was on that path, it was Karlie Kloss. At just 18-years-old the model (she’s too young for super, so we’ll call her prolific) has fronted dozens of campaigns from Dior to Oscar de la Renta to Marc Jacobs, walked every major runway and somehow, in spite of it all, managed to remain one of the most loved and down to earth people at the center of the industry. So no wonder Joe Jonas took a liking to her. The two hung out at Prince William’s polo match this past weekend, alongside that other famous couple, and snapped silly photos in the Jack Wills photo booth.  It’s possible Joe was just researching that fashion line he wants to start, but it’s way more fun to imagine he’s snagged himself everyone’s favorite model.

Photo: Mert & Marcus for Tom Ford

Tom Ford’s always emphasized his love of all women. His debut women’s wear show boasted the most diverse cast in runway history with models, actresses and singers of varying shapes and sizes. Though Ford’s chosen another blond to star in his spring campaign, Abbey Lee Kershaw and Candice Swanepoel are about as different as two blond models can be. The former starred in Ford’s fall campaign alongside the designer, but the latter’s landed the coveted spot for spring. With slicked back hair, winged eye makeup and jungle red nails, the blond South African channels a snarling man eater for Mert and Marcus’ camera. Her victim? Jon Kortajarena. The Spanish model’s starred in Ford’s campaigns before (and memorably popped up in A Single Man) but he’s playing second fiddle to Swanepoel for fall. The model Tweeted, “Sooooo excited! My Tom Ford campaighn (sic) is out!!! #Dreamcometrue.” Meanwhile, Rihanna’s also taken to Twitter to announce her news—the popstar’s the new face of Armani. Last Wednesday she said, “U would NEVER guess what I’m doing right now!!! Hint Hint #Armani” and this morning Armani announced she’d be the new “Global Testimonial” for both Emporio Armani Underwear and Jeans. A person can’t really be a testimonial, so in simpler terms, she’s the new Megan Fox. Look for her ads this fall.

Anne Hathaway looked absolutely ethereal from head to toe when she took a quick break from Paris’ Haute Couture fashion week to head to the countryside for the The White Fairy Tale Love Ball, a fundraiser for The Naked Heart Foundation. Anne grabbed our attention in a gorgeous Valentino gown, but her hairstyle—a stunning, fairy-like ‘do—was positively breathtaking.
