Photos: Splash Revlon’s just added two new faces to its roster of A-list frontwomen: Emma Stone and Olivia Wilde, WWD reports. Former global ambassadors for the beauty retailer include Beyonce, Kate Hudson, Jessica Biel, and Jessica Alba—all strong role models who are just as easy on the eyes. We’re not surprised that Revlon’s signed on these two women, who are busy promoting their films (catch Stone in Crazy, Stupid, Love and The Help and Wilde in Cowboys & Aliens and The Change-Up). The brand’s artistic director Gucci Westman says both “embody strength, beauty and femininity. Emma is so classic in a Grace Kelly real movie star way and she is an amazing actress as well. Olivia has the most unbelievably beautiful eyes and she is also cool and intelligent. I cannot wait for everyone to see our new Revlon campaigns.” Look out for them (along with new color cosmetics and nail polish lines) in print, digital, and TV ads  early next year.

The collar’s apparently the latest accessory vetting for it-status. Who even knew a collar could fall in the accessory realm? Well, when it becomes detached it can. A removable collar, eh? It took us a while for this facet of fashion to sink in, but now we’ve grown akin to it. When we aren’t in the mood for a full on button up, the removable collar becomes key. It does dress up any old plain tee pretty darn nicely. But how long with this last love affair last? You all remember the popped collar now don’t you?

We’re all starry eyed over here looking at Miu Miu’s addition to the fall collections—a sneaker that beyond dazzles us from behind the computer screen. While the glitter-coated pumps were a sight for sore eyes coming down the Miu Miu’s 2011 fall runway, if you’re looking to add some shine to your everyday step, just slide on a pair of these gems.

In 2009 Dolce and Gabbana sent out a collection full of pajamas. Their sexy silk suits went from runway to real life faster than anyone expected. Jessica Alba wore them on the red carpet and told ELLE “I have such long hours that I want to be in my pajamas!”  Now, even stores like Zara and Urban Outfitters offer some version of the printed silk pajama pant, and rarely an indie mag editorial goes by without an Olatz credit. But last night, at the premiere of Anne Hathaway’s new movie One Day, Rachel Roy wore real life pajamas. She paired the blue and white striped cotton PJs with a pair of strappy Manolo Blahnik heels and a brown leather clutch. On the red carpet she said, “It was hard for me to find something to go with these shoes where I didn’t feel too dressed up and too done. So I thought, this is how I can wear these shoes by Mr. Blahnik!” On the upside, she was probably the most comfortable person in the theater, but jeans—or even a blazer over those PJ pants—would’ve worked well, too.  What do you think?

When Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen decided to launch StyleMint, a monthly t-shirt club a la Kate Bosworth’s JewelMint, the twins promised they’d jump back in front of the camera together for the first time in years. This month, that means playing in a kiddie pool to promote their August contest. The designers want you to show them how you keep cool in August, via pictures or video (in which you’re wearing a t-shirt, of course). The winner gets a year’s worth of StyleMint shirts—you can enter via their Facebook.

    Who: Anne Hathaway
What: The One Day premiere at AMC Loews Lincoln Square 13 Theater in New York on August 8.
Wear: Alexander McQueen resort 2012 dress, Tiffany & Co. jewelry, Christian Louboutin heels

Anne Hathaway’s no stranger to stealing the show on the red carpet—and she did just that at the premiere for her new movie One Day in New York City. Wearing a dazzling Alexander McQueen resort number, the actress stunned in the black strapless dress with a gold-embroidered bodice. While the flattering A-line dress complimented her toned physique (she’s currently shooting The Dark Knight Rises as Catwoman, no wonder), Hathaway completed the look with sparkly pointy-toe Louboutins and gems by Tiffany & Co. One Day, also starring Jim Sturgess, is a rom-com about college friends who hook up on graduation day, and what happens down the road because of it. The movie hits theaters August 19.

Macy’s is on a high fashion roll! In the wake of their Karl Lagerfeld for Impulse collection—which hits stores at the end of this month—they’ve snapped up Anna Dello Russo. The Italian fashion editor’s become famous for wearing head-to-toe runway looks for even the most mundane activities. She favors bright colors, bold accessories and Italian designers, but doesn’t discriminate when it comes to Americans and Brits, too. In the past, Dello Russo’s teamed up with Yoox.com on t-shirts, but she’s never linked up with a particular retailer. Starting this fall, she’ll be the editor-at-large for I.N.C., Macy’s in house brand best known for pulled together office looks.  She’ll be “editing” and “styling” the collection at an editors’ preview next week—but no word yet on how her influence will be felt in stores. For now, there’s the image of Dello Russo at left, wearing I.N.C. alongside Karolina Kurkova (who’s also new to Macy’s). Next thing you know, Macy’s will be on the New York fashion week schedule!

    SUBTERRANEAN SULTRY

Summer festival season may or not be over for everyone, but it’s never too early to plan your chicest trekkin’-back-to-civilization ensembles. Moving from the mosh pit to the subway saunas, this week’s Techno Goth collection will kit you out in the best underground fashion this side of downtown. Thick textiles, severe spike heels, Victorian fishnets and lace reminiscent of medieval dungeons, these pieces are punched up with a Tarzan strength that you won’t be able to resist! Influences range from legendary rocker Joan Jett to Tilda Swinton to David Bowie circa his Ziggy Stardust days.

Catch this week’s Techno Goth train to style sin city!

We know that sheer is all the rage this season, and it’s a great transition trend from summer to fall, too. But this is definitely one fad that can be a bit tricky to wear tastefully. In order to master sheer fashion, we’ll show you how to wear sheer and avoid feeling over-exposed. Stay on trend while still maintaining the class factor with these cute options, and check out how our fave celebs wear the look too! Try wearing a tank underneath your sheer top. We like this one by ArynK since it comes with a cute sparkly tank to wear underneath.

    Who: Hailee Steinfeld
What: The Glee The 3D Concert Movie L.A. premiere held at the Regency Village Theater in Westwood, California on August 6.
Wear: Louis Vuitton resprt 2012 shift dress, Louis Vuitton loafer wedges, Roger Vivier clutch

Some of Hollywood’s biggest young names flooded the red carpet at last night’s Teen Choice Awards, but as far as the weekend’s best-dressed goes, our teen of choice has to be Hailee Steinfeld at the L.A. premiere of Glee The 3D Concert Movie. The face of Miu Miu’s fall 2011 campaign hit the red carpet in a red and off-white printed shift dress from Louis Vuitton resort 2012 collection paired with a covetable (we’ll even call them sexy) pair of loafer wedges, also by Louis Vuitton. Head-to-toe red is a tricky look to pull off, but the starlet nails it by accessorizing with a little something unexpected: that face-printed clutch.
