Throwback: Cartoon Network

69个月之前

Remember those afternoons after school when you would sit in front of the television and watch your favorite cartoons? Those were the days, right? I miss my only care in the world being whether or not I got the new Barbie Mariposa for Christmas.

Aaaaand I'm going off topic...

Alongside a handful of other kid/teen networks, I grew up on Cartoon Network. After school I'd watch one cartoon after the next. My favorite was Courage the Cowardly Dog. I loved that show so much! Looking back on it, it was a pretty messed up show for kids to watch -- haha. Nonetheless, nothing but great memories.

Here are some fun facts of some old and very old Cartoon Network programs.

The Flintstones: Everyone knows this show is old but are you aware of just how old it is? The first episode aired on September 30, 1960

Cow and Chicken: Did you know that the title characters of this '90s cartoon were both voiced by the same actor? His name is Charlie Adler, and he also voiced the villain of the show, The Red Guy.

Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends: The lead character, Frances Foster, was actually voiced by a woman (Grey DeLisle), the same actress who voiced Vicky in The Fairly Odd Parents!

Dexter's Laboratory: This was Cartoon Network's first-ever original animated series. The idea for the cartoon started in a college classroom when the creator drew a ballerina (Dee Dee). The rest was history.

What was your favorite Cartoon Network show?
