Mental Health During a Crisis

Hi!

A lot's happening in the world right now. The COVID-19 crisis is in full force, leaving many of us rattled. Such a drastic change has happened within the span of a few months! People everywhere are panicked, and a large majority are facing decreasing mental health. I wanted to give you a few reminders, in case you're struggling.

You're not alone. This is very important, especially now. Several of us have been isolated for a while, which is tough. Remember that there is always someone there for you, no matter the distance between you. If you're feeling lonely, don't hesitate to reach out to a friend, family member, or even me!

Your worth isn't measured by your productivity. I've been seeing a lot of influencers use this time to be more productive than usual. I applaud them, but I know that this isn't the case for many of us. Most people are using their time to watch television or stay in bed. This is normal! Staying inside is the first thing you should be thinking about. You don't have to be doing five hundred sit-ups per day or going on a juice cleanse. Just make sure that you are taking care of yourself. You're doing a great job.

This will end. Right now in the world, everything is unclear. We don't have many answers regarding anything. I know that it feels like this will never end, but this won't last forever. If we all social distance and do whatever we can to help the healthcare professionals on the front lines, we can end this. Sometime in the future, we will be back together.
