Styling Versace

il y a 47 mois

For this blog post, I have selected a couple of standout Versace pieces to style, from both Gianni and Donatella.

With my first two outfits, I wanted to channel a vintage Versace aesthetic. For my first outfit, I went for a Versace cowgirl look, inspired by an ad campaign shot by Irving Penn featuring supermodels Yasmeen Ghauri and Christy Turlington. I layered the iconic safety pin dress with a white western-style shirt with loose sleeves, which also helps breaks up the black and gold elements. For accessories, I added a black handbag and strappy heels, both with gold detail, and then to complete the outfit, of course, the cowboy hat. For my next outfit, I went for more of a casual but chic '90s-inspired look, with the sleeveless black turtleneck (a white one would work too) and slouchy mom jeans in a light wash. I added a classic Versace belt (again, with a western-style), some layered gold necklaces, and a mini handbag worn over the shoulder. I then added a leather beret and pair of boots.

For my final outfits, I decided to style some recent Versace pieces. To start, I chose this blazer with mixed metal embellishments, which I styled with an oversized white shirt worn as a dress. I thought the handbag was a perfect match with all of the little embellishments. I then added a leather beret, some gold earrings, and some strappy heels. Finally, I wanted to style these bright green animal print pants. I styled them with a simple black crop top, pumps, headband, and mini handbag. I added some layered gold jewelry for a classic Versace statement.
