Marie Curie was a physicist and chemist from Warsaw (now the capital of Poland). She lived between November 7, 1867 - 4 July 1934.

Originally named Marja Sklodowska, Marie Curie was born in Warsaw on Nov. 7, 1867. Her father taught high school physics. Marie Curie was interested in the recent discoveries of radiation adn she was the first female recipient of a Nobel Prize.
