If you use your brushes daily, get into a routine to wash them weekly. 

Make sure you smooth the brush to its original shape once you have rinsed it so it maintains its shape when it dries.

Make sure you only wash the tip and middle part of the brush, not the "ferrule" (part that holds brush fibres together) otherwise it will damage the brush.

You can use conditioner on your larger brushes to help keep them soft!
