~ 2008 Summer Olympics~

As you know the 2012 Summer Olympics are coming up! This year it is going to be held inLondon,England. Millions of people will be watching the competitions this year. The Summer Olympics happen every 4 years. In 2008 the Olympics where held inBeijing,China. The stadium that the games took place is called the Beijing National Stadium. Over 11,000 athletes from all over the world came to compete in the Olympic Games. The motto was "One World, One Dream." 28 sports where played in all, including: Volleyball, baseball, tennis, swimming and many more. 86 countries won medals from the 2008 summer Olympics. The top 3 countries with the most medals (including gold, silver, and bronze) were:United States with 110,China with 100, andRussia with 72.

 I am very excited for the 2012 Olympics! We will see some great athletes from all over the world compete this summer inLondon. I can't wait!
