Congratulations to Leona Lewis
Billboard reports that Lewis' single 'Bleeding Love' jumped from Number Eight to Number One on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. That makes Lovely Leona the first British female to top the US charts since Kim Wilde in 1987 (with a cover of the Supremes 'You Keep me Hangin'ON). Way to go Leona! Pretty Bloody Impressive!
More firsts: She is also the first female artist to have a US Number One with her debut single since Fergie with 'London Bridge' in 2006. So there's some kind of Good British Mojo going on ... whether you fly in from London or just sing about its Bridges!
