Fall 2010 COUTURE

Hey readers. It's been a while since my last post but my personal life was asking for my atention. Anyway, I'm really happy with the result of World Cup, I didn't have a favourite cause I love both teams, so, Spain made it and I'm happy for them (and I'm not like 99% of brazilians that think Brazil is going to win all World Cups). Let's talk about fashion! A few weeks ago we had one of the most incredible fashion events, the Couture fashion shows, in Paris. So I chose 3 Fashion Shows to show you what I liked, and what I didn't.

THE BEST: My favourite collection was definitly Christian Dior by John Galliano. John presented a magical fashion show full of colors and extravagant dresses. What I like the most is that he never looses his essence, or Dior's (with New Look structured dresses). My favourite couture pieces of the season were these amazing sandals. I want one of each color NOW (tip for Stardoll)! Other "best" collections: Givenchy, Jean Paul Gaultier and Elie Saab.

THE GOOD: The whole collection of Valentino by Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Paolo Piccioli was not my favourite, but the few pieces I loved, I really LOVED. They created a dolly collection full of bows, super girlie, but with no Valentino Garavani in there, or even couture itself. Special attention to bow gloves and shoes, amazing pieces. Other good collections: Giorgio Armani.

THE BAD: I love Karl Lagerfeld, far away from Chanel. What is he doing to Coco's brand? Where is all the classy and elegance? And this time, sorry, but he went too far. The collection is a total mess, that isn't Chanel at all. That's what happens when we tell the kid he is the best and give him freedom to do whatever he wants with the expensive toys.
