Word Filter Frustration

vor 104 Monaten

One of the ways Stardoll monitors this site is to employ automatic word filters. These filters are intended to stop people from posting things that would break the rules. The unintended consequence of these filters is that the accidental juxtaposition of two innocent words can result in a "forbidden language" warning and the inability to post what you have written.

Stardoll word filters make writing a challenge, but we all have to deal with them. I have a work-around that takes a little extra time, but helps me pinpoint the problem.

When I find I cannot post in a discussion or my Starblog because of "forbidden language" message, I copy and paste the text of my post into a dollmail message and send it. Then I go to my Sent messages folder where I can see my message edited by Stardoll. They place *** where the problem is. I copy this and then paste it into another dollmail message and replace the *** with different words and try again. When I have found wording that passes the word filters, I copy the sent message, go back to the discussion or my Starblog and paste my post.

It would be nice if Stardoll supplied this feature in discussions and in our Starblogs. Dolls who do not know how to do this may waste a lot of time struggling to understand what they are doing wrong when they are not using bad language or breaking the rules. Until then, remember this handy work-around.

Play safe and have fun.
